Almost hump day

Today was pretty uneventful. Mommy had a meeting at 11:30 for summer camp and didn't come back until 1:30 or so. She got back and I was taking a nap and when I got up I was ready to run, run, run. Mommy, daddy and I went to the container store to return something and then decided to go out for dinner to Pei Wei. By the time we were done with dinner, I was ready for bed so we headed home. We got home and I felt a second wind and decided I wanted to run all over the house and tear it up yet once again. Mommy put a stop to that and decided to put my cute little but in bed. Night, night all!

MONDAY, aaarrrggghhh!

I cannot believe it's another week. The weather was beautiful and I have to say that I spent a huge part of the day outside. Although before we went outside I got into a bit of mischief right before nap time. I decided that I was going to go into mommy and daddy's bedroom and steal the mixed nuts. In the photo I am giving mommy the "Yeah I got ur mixed nuts, what's your point?"

The next picture is of me right after I threw a temper tantrum. I am going through this phase where I want to stand on mommy's feet and or push my way in between mommy while she is standing at the counter trying to get some stuff done. Mommy gave me a cracker so I decided that I would give her a little break and entertain myself by eating the cracker and kicking the kitchen cabinets.

Mommy took me to the park in the wagon and the funny part was she gave me a sucker and ummm yeah not a good idea when the wind is blowing hard. My hair ate more of the sucker than my mouth lol. We didn't get any pictures at the park because it was hard for mommy to watch me while taking pictures. I have been keeping mommy on her toes.

After daddy came home he took me outside to check on our plants. The plants are growing so fast, just like me. We are starting to get red onions and mommy is very excited that she won't have to go to the grocery store to buy them any longer. While in the back yard daddy and I decided to play a little soccer and chase. I was running so fast that I kept falling down in the grass and the grass on my neck felt so funny I kept laughing. Daddy kept chasing me all over theyard and around the table. We had a great time.

Sunday Girl

It's Sunday already? Can tomorrow really be Monday? Can I really make it through another crazy week with mommy and her friends hahahaha? Do the questions ever stop? I am getting plenty of practice for when I can ask all these questions in lieu of writing them. I can't wait for the "but why's" to start flowing from my cute little lips.

Ok, ok, ok I am totally feeling sassy today and you know why, ummm because of these cool looking shades I have. Who wouldn't feel sassy in these! In this picture I was on my way to The Zone to go have some major fun in the bounce houses. We are going with Mattea and Somaya and I am totally pumped to see them.

Ok we made it to The Zone and got our green all you can bounce bracelets and we were off. As you can tell from the pictures we had a BLAST!! Ammo Ali and Auntie Cynthia decided to get into the ring and have a little bit of marriage counseling aka beating the heck out of one another with jousting poles hahahaha. I didn't get a picture of both of them, but in one you can see Ammo Ali with the jousting pole. We all laughed so hard it was hilarious.

Mommy took me to the top of the HUGE slide, that thing had to have been at least 4 - 5 stories high. At first when we came around the corner and I saw how high it was I was really scared and almost cried. Mommy reassured me that I was going to be ok and it would be a boat load of fun. What can I say Mommy is always right yippee I had a great time. We didn't get any pictures of that either because of course mommy was the one taking me down the slide and daddy forgot to get the camera. The pictures here are of me just bouncing around and having a good time. The other one is of me and mommy going through a maze . I refused to go through the tunnel so mommy handed me over to daddy and she had to climb through all by herself, I wonder if she was scared? Mommy was so fun to play with and I had such a great time with daddy too.

Ok I had better get to sleep, it was a long day and I am exhausted.

Get Down Saturday Night

I woke up bright and early today (about 5:00am) and was ready to go. Mommy came up stairs and got me thinking that "If I lay down with her in the other bedroom she will go back to sleep." Honestly I did fall back to sleep for a bit until mommy started snoring and startled me from my sleep. Mommy finally figured out that I was hungry, even though I ate dinner I just hadn't gotten enough to satisfy me all night long. I didn't get to go to soccer this morning because by the time we were supposed to leave I was exhausted and ready to take a nap.

I took a little nap till about 11 and mommy told me that we were going to be going to Chuck E Cheeses to play with our friends. We met, Auntie Tiffany, Omar, Yusef, Iyah, Deemah, Mandy, Allie, Angelina, Nadia, Leyla and Lina at Chuck E Cheeses and played for over 3 hours.

Friday is here, Finally!

Friday is finally here and I have to say that I am so glad. We didn't do much today, I don't even think that mommy even took any pictures of me. I'll just give you a brief over view of my day...Daddy fixed my movies for me on the lap top and we did go to Costco (I'm sure I didn't have to tell you that because we always go to Costco). Mommy is looking for a new camera, they had one there but Daddy thought it was too expensive so mommy is going to continue looking. We came home and I had some pizza for dinner and then headed off to bed. See I told you we didn't do anything much.

It's ALMOST Friday!

I started my day out with a little music lesson...who knew mommy's pan lid and a wooden spoon could make such a beautiful sound. Between me banging the lid with the spoon I had to smack it on the floor and walls. While I was having my music lesson mommy finished up the stuffed grape leaves for the guys at daddy's work. Mommy finally finished them up and decided that her and I should get out of the house seeing that we had been in all week thus far.

Mommy got ready to go and we finally got to go out. We had to run to auntie Tiffany's and drop off her stuff. On the way there mommy called her and she was actually on her way out, but Mandy was there watching the kid's so we still went and hung out for a little bit while I played with Deemah and Allie. Deemah, Allie and I ran around the house playing and had a great time. Play time didn't last long as mommy and I had some errands we needed to run.

Mommy is currently looking for a new camera, the one we have now just isn't fast enough to catch me. We headed off to Best Buy to check out the new camera and mommy caught me laughing and joking around in the shopping cart so she snapped a few pictures on her cell phone. Ok well after Best Buy we headed to the park near our house to have a little bit of outside time. Mommy pushed me on the swing but didn't let me get down and play much due to it being wet. We have had rain for the past few days so even our back yard is like a swamp. Daddy was transplanting our radishes this afternoon and I was running around the yard, squishing and squashing through the mud and muck. I came inside for the evening and started to get ready for bed. I didn't have a nap today so I was starting to get cranky. Well, I think that is enough for now I should get my butt to bed. Mommy and I have some errands to run tomorrow and I need to get my rest.

Hump Day...

Today was uneventful, the kid's ended up not coming over so it was just mommy and I. We just hung out around the house and played with all the toys. Here is how I play with all the toys...why play with the toys when I can play in the toys hahaha.

Honestly we haven't left the house in two days, and I think mommy is going to go stir crazy if we don't get out tomorrow. She did get most of the laundry done and cleaned the laundry room.

Mommy is now rolling MORE grape leaves because daddy went to work and was raving about how great they were so the guys at work now want some. I feel sorry for mommy because that little pack of grape leaves makes up to 100 and it takes a lot of patience and time to roll them. I am sure she will have to take a break soon to stretch her back and give her hands a break.

Not much else went on here today, so I guess I am going to scurry off to bed. *Huggles*

It's only Tuesday!

Well, we had an interesting and busy day. Deemah and Iyah came to spend the day with us and I had a blast playing with them both. We all just hung out around the house (because it was supposed to rain) and played on the horse and the door. The picture below is of me mounting my horse and getting ready to ride the range. The picture to the left is of Iyah giving me a hug. Mommy never did get a picture of Deemah although in the one of Iyah and I, you can see her butt lol.

Mommy put me down for a nap around 11:30am and I slept till about 2:30pm. During that time little Deemah decided that she wanted to get into a CRAP load of trouble (to say the least) hahahaha. So after mommy cleaned up the trouble, life was going to be good (so she thought). Iyah was so tired she just fell asleep on the living room floor and Deemah decided that she just wasn't ready to sleep until mommy held her and rocked her. Mommy stood in the guest bedroom and rocked her back and forth until she fell fast asleep. Poor Deemah was so tired, but she gave it a good fight right to the very end...Mommy WON (eventually)!

While we were playing around, taking naps or even getting into a CARP load of trouble mommy found some time to make stuffed grape leaves. She said she felt like a Cuban guy making cigars lol. Here is a picture of her yummy, yummy dinner. Daddy and I LOVED it and can't wait for her to make it again. Daddy actually told her that this was the best dinner we have had in a L-O-N-G time hahahaha. She had to do well on this dinner seeing that the dinner last night (umm what should we say about that)...STUNK! We had to actually go out for dinner seeing that it didn't turn out. Never rely on "Real Simple Magazine" recipes. Okay well I am tired and ready to turn in. Deemah and Iyah will be with us tomorrow so we shall see what new and exciting things we will manage to get into.

Just another manic Monday

Well, here it is another Monday and I have to say that we had a pretty busy weekend. I am thankful that I don't have to catch an early train to be at work by 9. Gotta love the Bangles! With all the planting on Saturday and then the picnic with friends on Sunday, when does a girl find time to just be.

As I mentioned in the last post, I was going to take some pictures of our little plants that are budding. The first picture is of our okra, cucumbers and radishes. The second picture is of our tomatoes, cilantro, eggplant and a few other things that I can't remember.

The picnic was fun, I just ran around and played with my friends. The funniest thing that happened at the picnic was when mommy and I went to the car to get my bag of toys. Mommy accidently set off the car alarm and scared the bajeebies out of me. I was so scared that I could have swore I heard someone say "Hit the Deckl!"

Mommy did bring the camera to the park, but I really don't cooperate and allow her to take pictures of me while I am on the go. Sometimes I feel like I am a movie star because mommy always has the camera in my face. The only pictures of me today are of me right after mommy got me ready to go to the picnic and also me in the bathroom waiting for mommy and daddy to finish getting ready. I have to get going now because mommy and I have to start to think about what to have for dinner. From what I have heard we will be making falafel so we shall see.

Lazy Days

Well, today wasn't interesting we just ran around town and did a few things. We went to Toy's R Us, Carters, Old Navy and then Lowe's. We went to Toy's R Us to see if they had any yard toys for me to play with because as everyone knows we have only grass in our yard and that isn't very fun for someone my age (although I do enjoy eating it every once in awhile lol). Carters and Old Navy had no blue jean Capri's which made mommy crazy. She says all she wants is blue jean Capri's so they will match all my shirts that I have acquired. Honestly I have no clue where I got all these clothes from, it is amazing to me how many clothes I have. Ok enough about my clothes, on to our Lowe's trip.

Daddy had to go and buy some seeds and plants so we can put our garden together. I will have to get you all pictures of our radishes, cucumbers and okra tomorrow. It is very exciting to see what joy it brings to Daddy's face when he looks at those little plants blooming. Tonight we planted some cilantro, red onion, 2 kinds of tomatoes, jalapeno's and green bell peppers. Tomorrow we need to do sage, basil, rosemary and parsley. We are going to have one heck of a garden when we are done. Mommy is excited about the tomatoes, red onions, cilantro and parsley because she hates going to the store all the time to get those.

I'm going to attach a picture of me in the car on our way home from Lowe's...I had just eaten a chocolate chocolate chip cookie and boy was it yummy, just ask my face.

Zoo? We are the Zoo!

Ok, we had a blast yesterday at the zoo. I was so tired when I got home that I didn't get to post anything. The picture attached is of the entire group minus mommy that was taking the picture. We arrived at the zoo about 11am and the park was packed, we had to park like 2 miles away and hike it in. We finally made it into the zoo and mommy realized she forgot my binky so she had to make the hike back to the car. She got back from getting the binky and I still wasn't happy, but that's always the case. I had this crazy monkey harness that mommy bought (she thought it would keep me under control...boy was she wrong lol.)

Our first adventure after arriving to the zoo was to go see part of my family...MONKEY'S! Honestly I thought for sure that they were going to try and steal my harness because it looked just like them. We got to see some cheetah's, zebra's, lion's, tigers and bears OH MY!!!

My favorite part was just running around making mommy nuts. It was so hot yesterday and lord forbid the park have the water fountains up and running. The funny part is the zoo keepers told us that the day before was twice as bad. Let's all just thank God we didn't go that day. Auntie Tiffany finally found some water and she bought like 10 bottles and we were all thankful for that. I have some other funny pictures that are a must see, let's see if I can get them up on this here blog! Ok here goes....

St. Pattie's Day 2009

Ok, well we didn't get to have our tea party today because auntie Tiffany wasn't feeling well. My day started out watching Sesame Street and Elmo's World, I danced around and laughed. Mommy and I played around the living room and tried to decide what to do the rest of the day.

I sat down to have a little snack so mommy decided to take a few snap shots of me before I actually did my hair. I'm sure later in my life I will shoot her.

Later that day mommy and I went to the fabric store to try and find some ribbon for her towels in the bathroom that she just got finished painting. We need to also go and find some rugs tomorrow. After the fabric store we went to Kroger to get the last of the items we needed to finish up dinner. We ate dinner and then headed off to City Hall. There was a city council meeting tonight that daddy needed to go to so mommy and I met him there. While daddy was in the city council meeting mommy and I ran around outside near the water fountain and then went up to the library to pick out some books. I picked 5 books that look really good.

Tomorrow the guy is coming to take a look at the microwave and boy do I hope he can fix it because mommy is irritable that it's broken and it takes her twice as long to do anything. We have been without our microwave since Saturday.

Daddy is going to the office tomorrow so maybe mommy and I will go visit auntie Tiffany and the kid's and go to the park. Thursday we are going to the Dallas zoo with everyone so that should be fun. I will be sure to post some pictures of me and the entire group.

Ok I am tired now and should be getting to bed. I know this post and the last post are a bit boring but we are getting the hang of this blog thing.

1st Haircut

Today I got my 1st hair cut. I got it done at Sweet & Sassy and I have to say that it looks pretty cute. Mommy took me and it was a lot of fun. At the end of my hair cut, they spray me down with strawberry and glitter. I was even given a glitter star on my cheek. They have the most amazing suckers and guess what they are all totally FREE!

Mommy and I came home and we played outside for about an hour running up and down the street like crazy girls.

Tomorrow we are supposed to be having a St. Patrick's Day tea party with Iyah and all of our friends. We will see how that goes and post some on that tomorrow. If we don't get to do that we are going to get together with some other girls and go to the mall and just hang out.
